Cardiff City Ladies Welcome a New Coaching TeaM.

The new season sees a start of a new era for the club with the appointment of a new coaching team led by Manager James Fishlock and assisted by Charlotte Preen and Jess Walkley.

All three have recently been involved in the women’s game as James worked at Cyncoed as well as our reserves for a season. Whilst both Charlotte and Jess work at the Gwent Girls Performance Centre.

Club Chair Michele Adams said “We are so pleased to be able to announce this very talented and ambitious coaching team. Both James and Charlotte have a past history with the club as James’ sister Jessica played for the club for several years. Charlotte started as a youngster rising through our junior ranks into the senior squad and both recognise and endorse the club’s values and ethos on and off the pitch.

James said “Firstly, it’s great to be back at the club and I am extremely happy and honoured to be given the opportunity to manage what I believe is the best club in Wales. When I got the call from Michele who laid out the club’s vision and plans for the future it was a very easy decision for me. Working with Charlotte, Jess and the players is something I’m really looking forward to and I’m convinced we will be able to build on the good work that Lauren and James did over the last two seasons."

We are also happy to announce that Hayden Brigginshaw has stepped up to become our Reserve Team Manager.

We are all desperate to get back playing, and the hard work away from the training pitch has already begun and we should have further announcements for you in the near future.

The club would like to say a huge thank you to coaches Lauren Smith and James Thomas for all their hard work and dedication over the past 2 seasons and to David Carroll who has stepped down from our Reserve Section.
